Adey Drive for Electric Vehicle Investment Begins
Adey SteelShop has switched its company fleet to hybrid and electric vehicles (EV’s) as part of its drive to reach net zero by 2050.
The Loughborough-based structural steel specialists has taken receipt of its first batch of hybrid vehicles with more to follow shortly. It has also installed EV charging points at the company's offices on the Falcon Industrial Estate to provide efficient charging stations for all employees with EV’s as part of the company's Carbon Reduction Plan.
Terry Willars, General Manager of Adey SteelShop, explained: "There is clear recognition within Adey SteelShop, and the wider Adey Steel Group business, of the increasingly important operational role electric vehicles can play in meeting our decarbonisation goals, hence the reason for the move to EVs."
