Adey Steel Group Invests in Plate Profiling Technology
Adey Steel have made the recent investment into a new plate profiling machinery and software in order to increase its capability and efficiency in producing plates and fittings for its in-house operations across all its Divisions.
Adey’s have installed a new Esprit Viper Plasma Profiling Centre as well as installing new SigmaNest nesting software on both the new machine and its existing Ficep Tipo Profiling and Machining Centre. The software maximises material utilisation by importing data with a single click allowing fast high yield nesting that produces minimal waste.
The high definition Viper is equipped with Hypertherem’s patented SureCut and TrueHole technology ensuring consistent quality of the highest level, and the impressive speed of the machine allows up to 75 tonnes of cut fittings to be produced in a single day.
The addition of the Viper gives the company the ability to profile plates from 6mm to 200mm in thickness to suit a wide variety of industrial and engineering applications.
